Applying "Project-Based Instruction" to the AutoCAD teaching practice could guide students to be independent study and explore voluntarily during they finishing the "project in the process of task". Consequently, that can cultivate the ability of students to raising questions, analysis questions and solving questions. With the teaching design as the theory basis, the study designs and practices the teaching process of the course of AutoCAD, using "Project-Based Instruction". Firstly, the paper puts forward the deficiencies of traditional AutoCAD; then, the author put forward his the teaching design of years of summarize about Project-Based teaching, including strategy selection and utilization of teaching, task designing, how to advance the task and how to organize implementation, etc. Through the analysis, the author summarizes the positive and effective role of project teaching method in improving students' comprehensive quality and skill. Through the analysis of the teaching method in the AutoCAD practice, summarized the suitable for practical computer class teaching mode.
