A quasi-optical two-mirror open resonator

摘要：
A high-Q electromagnetic centimeter-wave two-mirror quasi-optical open resonator is studied. Its eigenfrequency spectrum is determined, and the Q factor is measured. The structure of the standing wave in the resonator is visualized with an electrode-less microwave discharge in atmospheric air. The experimental results are compared with theoretical values. Formulas for calculating the field at the focus and the accumulated energy are presented.
