摘要
The stability of any society, inter alia, maintain common interests, values and culture. The European Union, which represents the community of states in the European area, considers culture as its important part. The European Commission adopted on 10 May 2007 the first historical comprehensive document relating to the common European cultural policy called the Communication on a European agenda for culture in a globalizing world. The document was adopted after extensive consultation with the cultural sector on the basis of which the European Commission has set out three basic objectives of the common cultural strategy for the European institutions, Member States and the cultural sector. Decision No 1983/2006/EC of 18 December 2006, the European Parliament and the Council of the EU declared year 2008 to be the European year of intercultural dialogue in order to give space and visibility to sustainable intercultural dialogue. Finally, it should be pointed out that a special issue of the EU still remains the question of the protection of the cultural diversity of the EU. The EU and its member states as one of its priorities still consider the creation of a common European identity, multicultural environment based on dialogue and mutual understanding.
