Further Reflections on Maturana's Key Insights

In response to the many in-teresting points raised by the commenta-tors, I discuss Maturana's "circularities of speech," the importance of metabolism, the absence of cognition in chemical au-topoiesis, the semantics of "mind" and "consciousness," and the central issue of whether the Santiago theory overcomes the Cartesian dualism of mind and body.
