摘要
In Bangladesh, gender-responsive budgeting (GRB) was introduced and embedded within the medium-term budgetary framework (MTBF) in 2006. The MTBF is aligned with national strategies targeting poverty reduction, women's advancement, and climate change reduction. This article discusses the impacts of the MTBF, the introduction of gender into the MTBF, the assessment of outcomes, and the associated challenges. The MTBF can be a crucial fiscal tool in sustainable development to ensure gender equity in all sectors of society. This article makes an important contribution to the academic literature by examining the inclusion of gender in the MTBF in a developing country.
