摘要：

Hungary's and Poland's illiberal drift entails an unprecedented and unheard-of crisis in the European construction process. The lack of foresight in the Treaties concerning a normative mechanism for the defence of the Union's fundamental values should be emended with the solutions offered by general Inter-national Law.
