Research methods are analysis of scientific and methodological literature, analysis of normative-legal documentation, pedagogical modeling, pedagogical observations, method of interviewing, method of expert evaluation, method of self-diagnosis of emotional states, experimental work, and methods of mathematical statistics. Based on the analysis of the results of the teachers' survey, we found that significant motivations for teachers to participate in professional competitions are the following: development of professional competencies, acquisition of new knowledge and skills, and gaining experience of new activities. Pedagogical observations, analysis of competition documentation, survey of competition participants (n=40) and jury members (n=15) showed that teachers often experience difficulties when passing competitive tests, and need training in the same way as physical education students, who are the potential participants of similar events in the future. Based on the preliminary study data, the teachers of the Institute of Physical Education proposed a special training format based on the idea of integrating non-formal education of students and preschool teachers into practice. The integrative model of education is aimed at the formation of professional knowledge and skills; it is implemented stage by stage in the format of. professional skills competition; it is based on the principles of continuity and prolonged action, openness and voluntariness, professional value, variability of participation, adaptability; it involves a differentiated selection of content, means, methods and organizational forms for students and teachers participating in the competition. Experimental justification of the integrative model of training was carried out in the framework of the Master of Pedagogical Work in Extracurricular Activities of Physical Education and Sports, an annual regional competition. The effectiveness consisted in overcoming "sore points", and development of professional skills of all participants. According to the students who participated in the study, the training, first of all, contributed to the improvement of special pedagogical skills, teamwork skills, and information handling skills. The teachers noted the development of special pedagogical skills, public speaking skills, generalization and presentation of their teaching experience.
