摘要
It is essential to know the state of perceptual-motor capabilities in school-age children, since this will allow planning according to individual needs and to account for the content of physical education. Therefore, the main objective of this research was to describe the level of development of perceptual-motor capabilities in a sample of 97 preschool and elementary school children belonging to a rural educational institution in the Municipality of Bello (Colombia), using the battery of perceptual-motor capabilities for school population. With respect to the total classification of perceptual-motor skills, a low level of performance was found (44.3%) and there was a very high and statistically significant positive correlation (rs= 0.815; p=0.00) between age and skills, which means that the older the age, the better the performance in perceptual-motor skills of the infants.
