摘要
Background/Objective: The main objective was to identify the evidence of validity and reliability of the eudaimonic well-being questionnaire (QEWB) in a sample of adolescents, as well as to verify its association with the practice of physical exercise. Method: This is an instrumental and psychometric study by analyzing the structure of the questionnaire, internal consistency reliability and statistical inferences. A total of 869 adolescents between the ages of 12 and 18 participated (46.1% girls, Mage = 14.44). Results: The preliminary analysis of the items recommends reducing the questionnaire to 17 items. The results revealed the existence of three factors (growth, purpose, and personal feeling) with strong loads in the exploratory factor analysis, corroborated by confirmatory factor analysis with acceptable goodness-of-fit indices. The reliability achieved was adequate for the three factors of the questionnaire. In addition, the data confirm significant differences in the three factors of eudaimonic well-being, with higher scores in adolescents who practice physical exercise frequently. Conclusions: This study supports the multidimensional character of eudaimonic well-being, with internally consistent and reliable psychometric properties of the QEWB questionnaire. A high relationship between the practice of physical exercise and eudaimonic well-being is also confirmed.
