摘要
Developmental trajectories of language skills are significantly associated with the development of social skills, peer relationships, mental health, academic skills and vocational opportunities. Early identification of high risk of language problems allows for targeted follow-up assessment and tailored intervention. The implementation of facilitative language techniques in the family has been shown to be effective, and subsequent speech therapy might be necessary. In Upper Austria two accurate and feasible language screenings have been developed over many years of research in pediatric primary care. These tools are now available for children at the age of 2 and 3 years. Tablet-based (paper-free) testing is currently being implemented. In addition, online parent training is being evaluated.
