Analysis of Results of Experimental Study of Working Processes of a Positive-Displacement Piston Hybrid Power Machine Having Two Suction Valves with Change of Compressed Gas Discharge Pressure

Investigations of a prototype positive-displacement piston hybrid power machine having two suction valves showed that the cooling-fluid flow rate is maximum at a compressed gas discharge pressure of 0.5 MPa. Elevation of discharge pressure leads to a decline in machine performance on both suction and discharge and a decrease in delivery coefficient. The components of the delivery coefficient and the physical mechanisms of their change were disclosed. Analysis of the effect of discharge pressure on the temperature of the cylinder-piston group parts revealed that there is a significant nonuniformity of temperature distribution along the cylinder generatrix, which reaches 26 K. This nonuniformity increases with increase of crankshaft speed. The maximum value of the indicator isothermal efficiency of the studied machine is observed at 0.5 MPa discharge pressure.
