摘要
3rd year medical student, following a Master 1 in philosophy and medical ethics, my goal was to discover during a one -week internship the ethical stakes of the accompaniment of the end of life. Following this immersion with a mobile palliative care team, I outline here a personal vision of the caregivers discovered and the lives met. Feelings, spoken words, shared debates and described situations have allowed me to intellectualize my relationship to death, as a medical student and caregiver. The support of the end of life is put in perspective regarding the current state of health of the care system and the political, social and health issues we face, at the dawn of a new legislation of the end of life. This article is a human and philosophical description of various end-of-life situations, played out within the walls of the Croix-Rousse hospital in Lyon at the end of December 2022. In these stories we can all recognize ourselves, they take place everywhere, throughout the French territory. (c) 2023 Elsevier Masson SAS. All rights reserved.
