摘要
The current study intends to investigate the retention factors that impact job satisfaction in Jordanian private universities. The current study includes independent variables representing retention determinants (namely employee relationships, rewards, job analysis and design, organizational career opportunities, and organizational components) and a dependent variable representing job satisfaction. A Google form research questionnaire distributed to academic staff at private universities in Jordan was used to collect primary data using a quantitative technique. This study's research sample consists of 322 academic staff. The research participants were chosen using a convenience sampling technique. The results show that the independent variables studied have a significant impact on job satisfaction. The current study contributes to academic knowledge as one of the first seeks to investigate practically how retention factors affect job satisfaction at Jordanian private universities. Furthermore, this research integrates, purifies, and extends previous experiential work carried out in the field of higher education in Jordan in order to distinguish the fundamental functions of human resources and retention policy in enhancing job satisfaction. It raises many implications for university administrators, including the significance of taking into account how retention policies affect the job satisfaction of academic staff.
