摘要
The article analyzes Sartre's arguments regarding violence and the recognition of new subjects in politics, as well as his critique of the formalism of humanist discourses, based on the "Preface" he wrote for Frantz Fanon's The Wretched of the Earth. To achieve this, the text is divided into three parts. The first, more historical, presents Sartre's work as a preface writer and discusses the conditions surrounding the writing of the "Preface" for Fanon. The second part addresses the problem of recognizing other voices in the political context, while the final part revisits Sartre's critique of the inconsistencies of Western humanism. Violence permeates all the arguments by playing a pivotal role in Fanon's work and Sartre's concerns, particularly during the 1950s and 1960s.
