摘要
This article seeks to elucidate, through a dialogue between different theoretical references, the right of babies and young children to literate culture based on books, especially children's literature. The right that permeates, firstly, the way that babies and young children read and understand the world and, consequently, books, in their own unique way, different from the adult, different from the consolidated reader. Secondly, the right that pervades the understanding that the linguistic experiences are fundamental for the present moment, without objectifying a becoming, the literate adult, enhancing what it is to be a baby and a young child. It is a right that must guarantee, not only the access, but, above all, the linguistic-literary experiences for all children and babies that build up our society, contributing greatly to their constitution as subjects who read the word and the world.
