PECULIARITIES OF CONSIDERATION OF CASES ON THE DETERMINATION OF DAMAGE AND LOSSES CAUSED TO UKRAINE AS A RESULT OF THE ARMED AGGRESSION OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Russian Federation's armed aggression against Ukraine has resulted in significant losses, including losses among military personnel and civilians, destruction of infrastructure, and destruction of housing and cultural heritage. Determining damages and compensation in such a context requires a careful analysis of international legal standards and international judicial practice. Taking this into account, it is important to consider how international judicial practice resolves the issue of compensation for damage caused by the aggressor state and to determine the possibilities of obtaining compensation for Ukrainians. The purpose of the work is to study the peculiarities of consideration of cases on the determination of damage and losses caused in Ukraine as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. Research methods are: hermeneutic method, comparative legal method, method of generalization, analysis and synthesis, modeling, method of theoretical analysis, method of historical analysis, and method of legal analysis. The results of this study will contribute to a better understanding of the possibilities and prospects of obtaining compensation for damage to Ukraine and its citizens, and will also contribute important information to the global discussion on the restoration of law, as well as order and justice. The research examines the specifics of consideration of cases on the determination of damage and losses caused by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in judicial bodies. An analysis of international conventions and norms related to compensation for damage, as well as examples of court decisions related to similar situations, was also carried out.
