摘要
This paper details the usefulness of found poetry as an arts-based approach to public health research dissemination. The poems in the paper are from the findings of a larger study which utilized narrative interviews and traditional rigorous qualitative methods such as coding and thematic analysis. In addition, found poetry was used to address the emotional findings of the following research question: What are the sexual health information- and service-seeking experiences of undergraduate women? This paper includes 11 poems created under the theme "frustration", and details the researcher's experience of deciding to use found poetry and the process of creating found poems. A juxtaposition is provided between the presentation of traditional qualitative findings and found poetry created from the same findings. Discussion considers practical implications and the emotional power of using found poetry, as it allows for accessible dissemination of study findings and the feelings and lived experiences of vulnerable populations.
