摘要
Urban green space is a set of intra-urban areas with different sizes and types of vegetation. This article presents a Systematic Review of the Literature (SRL) over the course of a decade and aims to identify and analyze the main scale of approach that have been used in research into urban vegetation in tropical climates by classifying them into the taxonomic categories of climate. Here, using the PRISMA Statement method with an execution protocol based on the two databases, Scopus and Web of Science with the following keywords: "green areas"; "urban thermal comfort"; and "tropical climates" to create the sequential queries. A total of 30 articles were selected for this systematic evaluation. The results suggest that the majority of articles have addressed the topic at a microscale urban level (53.33 per cent of the articles), broken down into four areas of application: urban cut-out, street canyon, university campus, and green space. Then there was the urban mesoscale (40% of articles) with only two areas of application: City and Neighborhood. Finally, the Macro-scale (6.67 per cent of articles) with just one area of application: The Metropolitan region. It was observed that the use of vegetation as a cooling strategy in the urban environment has been the most recurring issue at a variety of scales.
