摘要
Given the growth in online sales experimented in the past years, which has been accentuated by the health crisis in 2020 and 2021, B2C (business to consumer) distribution has gained even more importance in the operation of most firms in the retail sector. As a result, there has been an increase in the academic and practice interest in last mile logistics optimization. In this work, we analyze the correlation between couriers' workloads and their ability to successfully carry out their assigned services. Additionally, we assess the correlation between the distance from the warehouses to the delivery points and the completion rate of the couriers' workloads. Through the analysis of a dataset corresponding to deliveries and pickups performed in Madrid in 2021, we identify significant and moderate correlations between the couriers'workloads and performances. However, the correlations between the performances and both the distance and the visit frequency to each area are weak, yet significant.
