摘要
Industrial organizations located in rural areas suffer from constant interruptions in the supply of energy, due to low investments in distribution networks by the energy concessionaire and due to problems inherent to the operation of these networks. Production losses are often observed as a consequence of this lack of energy. Alternative solutions for energy generation are available in the market and a technical and financial feasibility analysis is required to implement such technologies. One of them, widely used nowadays, are the off grid photovoltaic systems, which are isolated from the distribution grids, not needing the connection to the grids and consequent problems already reported. In this sense, this abstract deals with the viability of using this renewable energy source and consequent substitution of conventional diesel generating sources, in order to present an efficient and safe solution to the problem of lack of energy.
