摘要
This work proposes an optimization methodology for the design and comparison of the basic non-isolated power converters. The non-isolated boost, buck-boost, and buck converters are evaluated. The designs are carried out considering component optimization techniques, with objective functions including efficiency, cost, and volume. The design is performed according to the mission profile of photovoltaic generation. Each converter is designed to a specific voltage and power range, according to the number of panels used in series. In the analysis, the boost converter presented greater flexibility in panel utilization, offering a wider operating range compared to the buck and buck-boost converters. Furthermore, in optimized designs, the boost converter demonstrated the best cost and power density compared to the buck-boost and buck converters.
