Constructing BiOCl nanosheets on BiOBr nanoplates by NH4Cl etching with enhanced photocatalytic H2O2 production performance

摘要
BiOCl/BiOBr heterojunction was designed by NH4Cl etching method to enhance photocatalytic H2O2 production. BiOCl nanosheeets were firmly in-situ generated on the surface of BiOBr nanoplates after treating BiOBr with NH4Cl, forming an effective Z-type heterojunction. The photocatalytic system can achieve a considerable productivity of H2O2 to 2604.11 & mu;mol/g/h under simulated solar irradiation, which can be explained that BiOCl/ BiOBr heterojunction improve the separation and migration ability of photocarriers, thus accelerating the photocatalytic H2O2 production process.
