摘要
Water contamination is responsible for approximately 40% of all deaths worldwide; therefore, a mechanism for monitoring water quality in real-time must be developed. New sensing capabilities were created by advances in wireless communications. Additionally, sensor network developments and the Internet of Things (IoT) are critical for environmental applications; they allow connections among various devices with the ability to send and gather data in a wide range of environments. In this work, a monitoring system based on ThingSpeak for IoT has been successfully implemented, and it is efficient and cost-effective for real-time WQM. The project performed a combination of hardware and software; The hardware design having Arduino Mega and NodeMCU target boards successfully interfaces with various sensors to measure water quality parameters such as the temperature of the water, Ph value, and level of water in the tank. The collecting data is continuously transferred to the cloud using IoT-based ThingSpeak and displayed to monitor water quality.
