摘要
Background: The arthroscopy of the ankle joint is among the more complicated arthroscopic interventions due to the anatomy of the ankle. Pseudoaneurysms are rare but potentially severe complications of these procedures, with only 13 cases currently described in the literature.Case report: This article reports a patient with a pseudoaneurysm of the dorsalis pedis artery after arthroscopic resection of a ventral osteophyte. The diagnosis was confirmed radiologically and treated via an autologous venous graft of the saphenous vein. There were no complications during rehabilitation. Conclusion: Preoperatively, the position of the dorsalis pedis artery should be assessed clinically and, if necessary, radiologically. The surgeon should be aware of the rare risk of possible vascular injuries as well as the diagnostics and treatment.
