摘要
Early diagnosis and adequate treatment of people with leprosy are essential factors in preventing the progression of the disease, interrupting transmission and reducing the physical disabilities and stigma it causes. The objective of this study was to report the development of an application for a mobile device, which provides information about signs and symptoms, clinical forms, diagnosis and treatment of leprosy to users with clinical suspicion of the disease. This is technological production research, characterized by the process of developing and creating a new product. The application provides texts with accessible and easy -to -understand language, images with an interface that allows easy navigation between modules. Functionality was assessed by health professionals as satisfactory, as was all the content covered. The Self Care application has the potential to promote an interaction that tends to transform society, involving the use of information technology to promote health.
