摘要
A wideband Vivaldi antenna with a miniaturized size is designed in this letter. The resistive loading, slot-loading, and coupling line at the radiation arms are introduced to miniaturize the antipodal Vivaldi antenna, as well as further reduce the lowest operating frequency. To verify the proposed design, a prototype with the size of 132 mm x 161 mm x 0.508 mm is fabricated. The measured results, which agree well with the simulations, show that an impedance bandwidth from 0.4 to 4 GHz with |S-11| < -10 dB is realized, and the gain of the antenna varies between -7 and 7.5 dBi.
