摘要
Current educational legislation increasingly reduces the number of hours of science-related subjects in compulsory secondary education, particularly those related to the field of Biology and specifically Botany. On the other hand, the project-based learning methodology offers student-centered learning, fundamental to carry out educational innovation projects. This article aims to study the potentialities, strengths and / or weaknesses of the educational innovation project "Organization of an optional subject to work with PBL methodology (Project-based Learning)" in three centers in the province of Malaga. In each of them the project is in a different situation, in the process of implementation or already implemented as an optional subject. As the main research instrument, the semi-structured interview has been used and nine teachers have participated in the research, finally a categorization of the information has been carried out based on two main categories. The results have shown that finally with the PBL methodology it is possible to motivate students and acquire knowledge about Botany in an active way, achieving the realization of different products, while you can work in an interdisciplinary way through different subjects.
