摘要
Theme: Despite the complementarity between the Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Asset Management methodologies, the connection between them is difficult because its use particular vocabularies and different knowledge structures. Objective: To propose a semantic connection between the Asset Management methodologies and BIM, in the airport context. Method: A qualitative-exploratory research was employed, supported by the use of a questionnaire with open and multiple-choice questions, directed to employees in the areas of Maintenance and Engineering in an airport administrator. Focus group practices were adopted to identify the relevant terms and format this connection. Results: (i) identification of strategic assets in the airport sector; (ii) mapping between strategic assets that may have a relevant interface with BIM; (iii) proposing a vocabulary to integrate the areas; (iv) definition of a relationship structure to connect the asset management requirements to BIM. Final remarks: As a potential gain, it is estimated the improvement of the management of BIM processes and Asset Management, since these processes often use a wide range of software and systems to control a building during its life cycle and the definition of an integrated structure allows the information inherent to the control of this cycle to be known and shared.
