摘要
The main contribution of this paper is to use Permanent Magnets (PMs) in the structure of a Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) in order to improve the torque characteristics. The PM-SRM is called a Hybrid Reluctance Motor (HRM). The proposed HRM in this paper has a 24-28-pole configuration. The PMs are inserted between the U-type modules, and hence no space is wasted in the structure. The flux flow patterns of the proposed HRM are illustrated using the prediction of flux patterns. The Finite Element Method (FEM) is used to obtain the results in terms of flux lines and flux densities, flux linkage curves, static and dynamic torques, and cogging torque profile. It is shown that the proposed HRM is capable of producing higher torque compared to the classical SRM. Also, the cogging torque is significantly small thanks to the effective way of PM insertion.
