摘要
This document seeks to reflect on how informal learning through means such as the YouTube video platform has become increasingly recurrent as an instrument that the members of a Higher Education Institution (HEI) use to complement their activities. It starts from a reflection on the use that students give to this type of learning means, for later and through a case of implementation of institutional change in a Private HEI, to reflect on how the teacher by hours or of subject in his role of agent for change, also resorts to these strategies to accelerate their own learning, mainly when the change has characteristics of urgency, such as the adaptation of a face-to-face education to a virtual one due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is concluded that, although there is no complete certainty of the results of learning through informal media, due to its flexibility, adaptability and ability to generate information in relatively short times, media such as YouTube are glimpsed with greater prominence in the short term. Given this, the challenge for HEIs is to live with these new variants of knowledge acquisition.
