摘要
This study aims to verify the financial literacy of college students from a university in the South of Brazil, through the analysis of behavior in consumption attitude, knowledge related to investments and financial organization. Socio-demographic variables such as age, gender, income were also considered. As a control variable were used the dimensions financial knowledge, organization and financial attitude, named as financial literacy, correlated to the sociodemographic variables. To run the model, a survey research was carried out and sent to undergraduate students from all the undergraduate courses at the university under study. The survey resulted in 276 respondents and the information was tested through multiple linear regression. The motivation for conducting this study is to identify whether college students are financially literate and whether literacy is affected by socioeconomic and demographic variables.
