摘要:
Allusions to the business dealings generated by the Queen Regent, Maria Cristina de Borbon (the widow of Fernando VII), and her second husband, Agustin Munoz, are a constant in Spanish historiography. They are considered one of the greatest corruption scandals in the country's history. However, no study covers the origin, nature and amount of the income and investments generated by the Bourbon-Munoz marriage. This paper uses primary sources in its global approach to this fortune within the general context of the Regency and the subsequent decades when the Queen Mother continued to exert a strong political influence.
