摘要
Palliative rehabilitation is an incredibly rewarding discipline in which patient-centered care can lead a rehabilitation practitioner to work with clients to develop function targeted goals for patients with terminal or progressive disease processes. Despite the progression of disease in these patients, the reward that can be realized from appropriate pain management, ongoing work on joint health, and a focus on the primary disabilities can be enormous. The combination of pharmaceuticals with rehabilitation modalities puts veterinary professionals in a unique position to truly enhance the quality of life for small animal patients and the family who cares about them.
