摘要
The paper is devoted to the measurements of one-electron redox potentials of transient free radicals Eo. These values can be measured in the reversible redox reactions of radicals under investigation with a reference pair, which Eo is known. Several Eo of transient radicals are presented. The convenient and important objects for Eo measurement are quinone/semiquinone radical-anions. A general problem of measurement of thermodynamic properties of short-lived transients is discussed. The paper is devoted to the measurements of one-electron redox potentials of transient free radicals E degrees. These values can be measured in the reversible redox reactions of radicals under investigation with a reference pair, which E degrees is known. Several E degrees of transient radicals are presented. The convenient and important objects for E degrees measurement are quinone/semiquinone radical-anions. A general problem of measurement of thermodynamic properties of short-lived transients is discussed. The value of the measured E degrees to modern problems related to electron transfer is outlined. image
