摘要：
The article presents an analysis of the translation choices employed in J. R. R. Tolkien's work Smith of Wootton Major (2021), translated by Cristina Casagrande. The text seeks to explore the postulates on fairy tales, established by Tolkien in Tree and Leaf (2020), and their relation to Casagrande's translation. We also explore the paratexts of the translation and their relation to the past translation, from 2015, by Ronald Kyrmse.
