摘要
An ultra-compact design of all-optical fundamental logic gates like AND, OR in addition with universal logic gates like NAND and NOR using two cascaded symmetrical optical microring resonator has been proposed by utilizing the inherent advantages of optical microring resonator and analysed in Z-domain in the present article. Pump-probe configuration is used for the analysis of the proposed schemes using microring resonator in the Z-domain. The achieved values of extinction ratio, contrast ratio and amplitude modulation are 13.73 dB, 19.10 dB and 0.13 dB, respectively. The calculated value of SNR for the proposed design is 39.63 dB. The bit error rate is nearly 0. The operational speed of our design is 200 Gbps at a very low pump power of 1.19 mW. The simulated results of logic gates are analysed based on estimated performance parameters to establish the novelty of proposed model.
