Professionally-oriented tasks as a means of teaching a foreign language in the professional sphere

摘要
The purpose of this article is to identify and classify the difficulties of teaching a foreign language in the professional sphere of students of a non-linguistic university, to determine professionally significant skills in teaching, to develop a set of professionally oriented tasks based on a professionally oriented approach in teaching a foreign language. The object of the research is the process of teaching a foreign language in a non-linguistic university; subject - professionally oriented tasks in teaching a foreign language within the discipline "foreign language", "foreign language in the professional field". In the work, learning difficulties mean the factors accompanying the learning process that impede successful learning and require certain actions, efforts aimed at neutralizing them. The developed classification of difficulties includes organizational, professional, psychological, linguistic. Professionally significant are the skills developed when teaching a foreign language in the professional sphere at the level of content and professional activity: orally present in a foreign language the leading figures of the professional sphere, professional news, the results of one's practice; work with an authentic foreign language text, develop a methodological apparatus for its understanding by the target professional audience, etc. A professionally oriented task is a didactically organized foreign language activity of students aimed at developing foreign language skills, cognitive skills, the ability to independently form and apply in practice their knowledge about the professional field in a foreign language. The paper correlates the difficulties of teaching a foreign language in the professional sphere and the types of professionally oriented tasks designed to help students overcome difficulties. A set of relevant tasks has been developed and presented (messages on the topic "news of the professional sphere", about one's practice, about an outstanding figure in the professional sphere, working with a foreign language text of a professional orientation as part of home reading, compiling a crossword puzzle for professional terminology, a dialogue/polylogue on professional issues and etc.).
