Improved Teaching Concept for Lab Experiments using blended learning elements and low-budget equipment

摘要
Laboratory experiments are part of engineering education. Often there is a number of expensive highly individual experiments available for this purpose. Students have to adapt to a new test setup every time they are in the lab. This draws attention from the experiment itself and lowers the learning outcome. In this paper, we present a new teaching concept for practical classes. This includes blending learning elements for the preparation work and a configuration o f a n i nexpensive set of equipment for laboratory workplaces. Students can carry out numerous experiments on the fundamentals of electrical engineering with it. The experience of the past years shows that students have fewer difficulties in carrying out and evaluating the experiments. In addition, each student finishes the course with developed skills in operating the lab equipment.
