摘要
Graph-based topological index of a chemical compound has been instrumental in determining its physico-chemical properties. Over the years, this mathematical tool has proved to be a time and cost efficient aid for chemists, which enables the study of different chemicals sans laborious efforts. One of the recent researches in topological indices is the degree based index called Sombor index. Sombor index along with its variants have become a hotspot in the field of mathematical and chemical research. Several chemical compounds are being studied to identify their potential application. In this regard, carbon nanotubes are widely being analysed as they seem to be quite promising compounds with their strong electrical and structural properties. In this study, we compute the Sombor index, reduced Sombor index and average Sombor index of armchair and zigzag carbon nanotubes. Further, a comparison of armchair and zigzag carbon nanotubes is made on the basis of their topological index based entropies.
