ENMENDAR LAS FALTAS: LOPE DE VEGA Y LA REVISION DE LAS COMEDIAS AUTOGRAFAS

This article analyses 45 Lope de Vega's autograph plays to demonstrate the existence of a text revi-sion process. Textual evidences indicate that Lope used different resources and procedures to modi-fy the text that he had already written: sometimes, he added verses in the margins; other times, he decided to interpolate fragments of text at the beginning, end or in the middle of an act; while on other occasions, he left blank spaces to fill in at another time. All of them are elements that prove the existence of a careful revision process of his dramatic works.
