Introduction: Inverse psoriasis is a rare variant of psoriasis. The clinical presentation consists of well-demarcated erythematous lesions, which most often occur in flexural and intertriginous areas. Subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus (SCLE) is a form of lupus that is characterized by typical skin lesions, UV hypersensitivity and the presence of anti-Ro/SS-A antibodies. The coexistence of psoriasis and lupus erythematosus is reported sporadically. Case report: A 49-year-old woman with a history of SCLE, who developed inverse psoriasis, initially on the anterior surface of the neck, and then within the elbow flexures. The diagnosis of this form of psoriasis was based on the clinical, dermoscopic and histopathological examinations. Conclusions: The coexistence of SCLE and psoriasis is rare. The localization of psoriasis in the anterior region of the neck and elbow flexures, was a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge.
