Rotator cuff injuries are rarely found in adolescent patients. Commonly they are not recognized initially and are often only treated adequately after a significant delay. In the past, these pathologies were treated via an open approach. The given case presents a 13-year-old adolescent who sustained a complete periostal subscapularis tendon avulsion. In addition to the description of our surgical technique, this article discusses the current literature.
