The purpose of the research is to explore the human dimension of leadership, an approach to coherent leadership. The methodological approach applied is a method of documentary exploration based on the search, recovery, analysis, criticism and interpretation of secondary data, that is, those obtained and recorded by other researchers in documentary sources, carried out in three phases: the search and exploration of sources; the collection and analysis of information; and the writing of the final text. Leadership is a phenomenon of interest to many scholars in the areas of management and business management because there are still elements to decipher to understand its scope and contribution to the development of potential in many leaders around the world, in view of its impact at the head of organizations and work teams from which results oriented towards business growth and expansion are expected, especially due to the social responsibility involved in economic activity for the growth of countries. In this sense, it is necessary to go beyond continuing in the dilemma about the innate or learned character of the qualities of a leader, it is necessary to put interest in one's own reflective, human and experiential capacity to assume the real commitment to optimize each day. His exercise of the role of leader in inspiring teams and people towards the achievement of a common purpose.
