摘要：
Emotion regulation (ER) strategies have been proposed to vary in terms of cognitive demands. We tested how fluid cognition predicts ER strategy use in an age-diverse sample. Individuals with higher cognitive control used more engagement strategies, but effects varied by target emotion. Findings align with the perspective that ER strategy selection is dependent on both the person and the context.
