摘要
The expansion of Invasive Exotics Species is registered as one of the worst threats to the ecological and economic wellbeing of the planet. The objective of the research was aimed at proposing a system of workshops to contribute to the knowledge of Invasive Alien Species, and their undesirable effects on vulnerable Cuban ecosystems and human health and in particular of the species C. gariepinus in 8th grade 4 students of the "Jose Ramon Leon Acosta" Urban Basic Secondary School located in the city of Santa Clara, province of Villa Clara, Cuba. In the research, methods of information collection and methods of processing the collected information were used. It was possible to prove that the 8th grade students of this study center have little knowledge about Invasive Alien Species and especially about C. gariepinus. The selected sample was made up of 32 students from the 8th grade who participated in the workshop system, which was submitted to the criteria of experts who evaluated it as pertinent. Its validation contributed to the acquisition of new knowledge about Invasive Exotics Species and in particular about C. gariepinus.
