Regulation of luminescence properties of Gd2O3-B2O3-SiO2-Na2O-Al2O3 glasses by the content of Eu3+

摘要
Lanthanide ion-doped fluorescent materials have always been a hot topic in the field of electronic materials. Eu3+ ion-doped gadolinium borosilicate glass was prepared by high temperature melting method. The luminescence properties of Eu3+ codoped gadolinium borosilicate glass were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform near infrared spectroscopy, excitation spectrum, emission spectrum, fluorescence lifetime and chromaticity analysis. XRD results show that the sample has typical non-crystalline. The fluorescence lifetime of the sample changes regularly with the concentration of Eu3+ ions. The results show that the luminescence intensity increases with the increase of Eu3+ ion concentration, which proves that the change of Eu3+ ion concentration has a great regulation effect on the luminescence properties of gadolinium borosilicate glass. The structural reason of this phenomenon is analyzed by Fourier transform near infrared spectroscopy. The luminescence properties of glass can be improved by regulating Eu3+ ion concentration.
