摘要：
Diseases of the aortic valve block blood flow from the left ventricle to the aorta and the rest of the body. These diseases are divided into congenital or acquired. The aortic valve may show a narrowing (which is the most common valvular disease) which results in reduced blood flow to the aorta or a deficiency that results in retrograde blood flow to the left ventricle.
