Flotation pre-treatment of meat processing wastewater in a mobile test set-up

摘要
Post-prodn. wastewater from a pork processing plant was pre-treated in an exptl. flow installation with a capacity of 1.0 m(3)/h, at temp. of 20 +/- 3 degrees C, using 3 flotation methods: a) induced air (IAF), b) according to the own invention with the support of 30% H2O2 or with the addnl. use of c) lime milk based on Ca(OH)(2) or CaO2. The most effective method was the H2O2-assisted method using Ca(OH)(2), which allowed to obtain a clear outflow and levels of pollutant elimination according to the indicator values: Et2O extract and total suspended solids > 99%, BOD 5 > 40%, COD > 55%, total P > 85%, N Kjh > 35% and total Cl > 90%.
