摘要
Introduction: Procyanidin, classified as flavonoid, is derived from proanthocyanidin, commonly found in fruits and plants. Many studies found that procyanidin has antioxidant, anti-inflammation, and anti-cancer functions. The study systematically reviews the available literature on the benefits of procyanidin for lung cancer in human cells. Methods: Relevant keywords consisting of "Procyanidin" AND "Cancer" were explored in Pubmed. This systematic review follows the guidelines of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) statement. Results: Three (3) articles met the established inclusion and exclusion criteria. Procyanidin has antioxidant and antiinflammation activity that can inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells. Conclusion: Procyanidin presented potential benefits for lung cancer, and this review can be used for future research.
