摘要
The Constitution of Lumen Gentium in the Second Vatican Council regards the papal authority as a collegial power, emphasizing that the Pope and bishops belong to the same college; that they present the collective power of the church as a whole. This kind of understanding symbolizes a massive reform of the church hierarchy, but it does not take the authority away from the Pope; on the contrary, it reveals the dynamic process of intention of the collective authority. This formation of collective authority in the Lumen Gentium will be very enlightening for the further self-reformation of the Catholic Church and the ecumenical movement as well.
